TOM Brennan will defend his Ben Fund Bonanza title when the event takes place at his former home track Glasgow on Saturday March 28.
Brennan won the meeting on its last staging at Oxford in 2025, and he also finished third two years earlier making him one of the most successful regular competitors in recent years.
He is all set to resume this season having recovered from leg injuries sustained during a practice run last October at Industry, California, although those came outside the remit of the Ben Fund.
Brennan said:
“It’s obviously for the British riders and when we race in the UK or are representing GB, it is such a nice security to have them when we are racing in the league.
“It’s completely understandable and that’s obviously why I am still doing the Ben Fund Bonanza because it is such a good cause
“I did a tibia and fibula, both fractured on my left leg. It’s going good, I’ve been very fortunate having really good people to help me with that and the injuries are progressing nicely.
“I’m now trying to get back to some sort of training and things like that, but it’s very slow.
“We’re trying to do everything within good reason but as far as I’m concerned we are going to be strong and healthy for the start of the year.”
