The 2025 FIM Women’s Speedway Academy and FIM Women’s Speedway Gold Trophy will be staged at former FIM Speedway GP of Croatia venue Donji Kraljevec from July 10-12.

Applications are open for the fourth edition of the FIM WSA, which takes place on Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11, with the FIM Speedway Women’s Gold Trophy meeting on Saturday, July 12.

The inaugural FIM Speedway Women’s Gold Trophy took place at former FIM Speedway GP of Germany venue Teterow last June, with home hero Celina Liebmann topping the podium to make history as the first-ever winner of the competition.

Female riders from all motorcycle disciplines are welcome, with no previous speedway experience necessary. Riders aged 13 and above will use 250cc machines and those aged 16 and over will use 500cc machines.

The project is a joint initiative between the FIM Track Racing Commission (CCP) and the FIM Women’s Commission (CFM).

Janika Judeika, FIM Women’s Commission director, said: “Following its first three editions, the FIM Women’s Speedway Academy is continuing to grow and thrive, and we intend to build upon these successes next year in Donji Kraljevec.

“It is an initiative that I find incredibly exciting, and we are already seeing very positive results with women enjoying a raised profile as speedway becomes more and more inclusive.”

Armando Castagna, FIM Track Racing director, stated: “Ever since its inaugural edition in Germany in 2022, the FIM Women’s Speedway Academy has proved to be a very effective way of promoting inclusivity and diversity in speedway, and the FIM Track Racing Commission is proud to be working together with the FIM Women’s Commission to further its progression.

“I am confident it will continue to prosper, and that next year in Croatia will build on the success of its three previous editions.”
